Book review by Heidi Saunders aged 8

In this book there is a competition for dressing up and there is a cycling race. Bernard tries to be smart by putting custard and syrup all over the road where the race takes part so that the cyclists crash. But Freddie tries his hardest to save the day by clearing away all the sticky mess. When the bakery arrives there is a lot of excitement from the bakery. My favourite part of this book is when Freddie saves the day by clearing away all of the sticky mess all over the road. My favourite character is Freddie because he is very friendly and helpful when he is delivering all his desserts. This book really encouraged me to read the rest of the series.
